Growing a Solidcom System: Spare Beltpacks, Base Stations, Antennas and Central Hubs

A Solidcom kit is sized for the crew you have today. Productions grow, venues change, and the first show-day failure teaches everyone the value of a spare. Hollyland sells the individual parts of its beltpack systems so you can extend a kit instead of replacing it.

The first rule: know which system you own. Solidcom M1 and Solidcom M1 Pro use different beltpacks, and buying the wrong one is the most common mistake we see.

Adding people: the right beltpack

For a Solidcom M1 Pro, the BPK02 is the beltpack: a ~200g, double-injection-molded body with a drop-resistant finish, an LCD with A/B/C group indicators, 3.5mm and 0B10 headset interfaces, and a swappable 1500mAh battery good for about six hours.

For a Solidcom M1, it is the BPK01, which joins your existing M1 configuration and keeps the mic-boom up/down talk and mute control. There have been system revisions, so send us your base station model before ordering and we will confirm the match.

One spare beltpack in the flight case turns a show-day failure into a 30-second swap instead of a crew member off the channel.

More users or a second zone: the base station

The Solidcom M1 Pro RRU is the base station at the centre of every M1 Pro kit, sold on its own. Buy it as a spare for a rental or touring kit, or to cascade a second system: two or more RRUs link over IP or 4-wire to raise the user count. It runs on PoE or an NP-F battery and has a built-in panel antenna plus connections for external fiberglass antennas.

Dead spots: an external antenna

When beltpacks drop out behind a wall, on another floor or in a packed room, more transmitter power is rarely the fix — antenna position is. The Solidcom ANT01 lets you mount the antenna away from the base station and up above the crowd, where it has line of sight to the crew. Confirm compatibility with your specific Solidcom model before ordering.

Building permanent infrastructure

Past the point where kits make sense, the Geo Central Station is the hub a large Solidcom deployment is built around. It coordinates beltpacks and manages channels, and it lives in a rack or at the production desk rather than in a kit case. It is a system-level component, so talk to us about your deployment first.

If you are starting from zero with a crew of ten, the Solidcom H1 10S is Hollyland’s flagship — a complete ten-user, full-duplex system from day one. For a fixed venue with headset-only users, the C1 Pro Hub8S at $4,499 is a lighter way to add a hub.

Which upgrade fixes your problem?

  • Need one or two more crew positions: extra beltpacks (BPK02 for M1 Pro, BPK01 for M1).
  • Afraid of a show-day failure: one spare beltpack per kit, and a spare RRU for touring.
  • Two departments or two buildings: a second RRU, cascaded over IP or 4-wire.
  • Dropouts in one part of the venue: an ANT01 mounted high, near that area.
  • Permanent large-crew install: Geo Central Station, or the Solidcom H1.

Not sure which base system to start with? Compare them in Solidcom M1 vs M1 Pro and our wireless intercom buying guide. For multi-camera shows, a wireless tally system pairs well with any Solidcom setup.
